The submission period for issue three is:  1st – 31st August 2017

LUCIFER publishes photography, poetry, fiction and non-fiction.

Your submission should aim to: Tell us something we don’t know

Non Fiction

By non-fiction we mean travel writing, articles on pop culture, reportage, memoir. Have you done an offbeat or dangerous job? Do you live off the grid or off the map?

We publish two regular columns: Postcards from the Edge and Dispatches from the Front Line. Got an idea for either? – drop us a line and run it by us.

By Fiction, we mean anything from flash fiction to 3,000 words. Although longer pieces may be serialised across two issues.

Successful pieces will be worked on with the author to make sure they are the best they can be when we go to print.

We intend to publish new and established poets, so if you think you’ve got a poem for us, take a chance and send it along.

Photographers: please contact us in the first instance with a few examples from your portfolio of work. We like meaningful reportage, social documentary, portraiture, and photo stories.

Send submissions (during the specified submission period) as a Word document (or open source equivalent) to Include in the covering email your name and contact details plus a suitably self-deprecating 50-word-or-less biography, for publication.

Please allow up to six weeks after the closing date to hear back from us.
