LUCIFER is a high literary and culture magazine published and co-edited by Neil Fulwood and David Sillitoe under the Lucifer Press imprint.
Lucifer Press was formed in 2015; its first publication was the anthology More Raw Material: work inspired by Alan Sillitoe. The ethos of the anthology was to pay tribute to Alan Sillitoe’s diversity as a writer – novelist, poet, short story writer, dramatist, essayist, memoirist, collaborator with other artists – and to bring together a community of writers and artists via print publication, events and other media.
The magazine LUCIFER continues this philosophy. Each issue features photography, poetry, fiction and non-fiction. Launch events, readings and appearances will be regularly updated on our Events page.
Issue ones Featured Writer is Bethany W. Pope and features an exclusive excerpt from her novel Masque, and an in-depth Q&A. Other contributors include Michael Eaton, Helen Ivory, Gregory Woods, Shreya Sen Handley, Jonathan Taylor, Sue Pace and Mahendra Solanki. See the contributors page for more details on all featured writers.
Issue two will feature Joanne Limburg, Kevin Higgins, Jane Burn, Chris Hardy, Lesley Quayle and others; this edition will also pay tribute to the acclaimed poet and memoirist Derrick Buttress.
LUCIFER is published twice a year.
